Procedures for Self Quarantine under Covid 19

Self-quarantine is recommended for individuals who have been directly exposed to the new Coronavirus or have history of travel in infected or heavily populated areas. If you think you are exposed, then you should immediately inform your doctor and call on government helpline number. And also start following Self-quarantine steps - 

 


 

1. Stay at Home

  • Limit all your non-essential travels.
  • Avoid leaving your home or room untill it is absolutely necessary.

 


 

2. Keep an eye on your temperature

  • Check your temperature at least two times a day and avoid sharing your thermometer with others.
  • If fever is getting worse then you should consult your doctor.

 


 

3. Watch for other symptoms

 

Aside from fever, Covid-19 symptoms include cough, difficulty breathing and fatigue. Any of these symptoms needs immediate medical attention.

 


 

4. Practice social distancing

  • If you need to go out, maintain at least 1 meter (3 feet) distance from others.
  • Avoid visiting crowded places.
  • Avoid visiting areas declared as Red Zone.

 


 

5. Maintain Respiratory etiquette

  • Always wear a mask.
  • N-95 mask is better but a simple 2-3 layered cotton or cloth mask will also work.
  • Spray sterlising solution on used mask before disposing off the mask. 

 


 

6. Wash your hands

 

Practice good hand hygiene by washing your hands with soap and water or using alcohol or hand sanitizer.

 


 

7. Stay in a specific room

  • If you are sick or suspect yourself to be sick, it's best to stay in a designated room or area away from others.
  • If possible, have a separate toilet and bathroom as well.
  • Sanitization of articles and surfaces of the room should be done on a daily basis like door handles, railings and personal usables.

 


 

8. Call your doctor or hospital before visiting

 

If you need to seek medical attention whether for viral symptoms or other medical care reasons, contact your doctor or hospital ahead of time so they can prepare and take precautions for your arrival.

 


 

9. Indulge in healthy habits

  • Take healthy diet.
  • Do some exercise daily.
  • Have a positive mindset.
  • Practice Yoga and Meditation. 
  • You may also consider consuming immunity enhancers like chyawanprash, ayush kwath etc.
